Ansel Adams I am Not....

I know the blog has been a little photo heavy of late, but I'm on vacation. And that's what people do on vacations. I've done post processing work to all of these in photoshop. These are from a day trip to Chicago with the lady. Millennium Park, Chinatown, and Sears Tower.

This panoramic is from the new observation platforms at the Sears Tower. They are retractable glass cages that extend out from the side of the building. The first step is a little freaky, but they are really cool.

Stepping out on a glass panel would be freaky. I didn't know that people swam in the canals. Are they clean?

The first step out is freaky for sure. Once you are out on it it's not bad. I will say that one thing that surprised me is how clean everything does look, for a big city. After the Chicago fire the city plan made seemed to make general beauty a priority. Nicely groomed little green spaces every where and things like that. Though the color of the water isnt encouraging it does look cleaner than you would expect. Not a lot of floating debris. There seems to be a lot of civilian traffic in the water ways. I was still shocked to see a pack of kayaks though

I, too, was surprised to see how clean Chicago looked in your photos. I'm glad you posted these, esp. China Town & the glass walkway.
