Every silver lining has its cloud

Recuperation is going well and I can comfortably sit at a computer for extended periods, so I've been trying to doodle more on the computer. This is just a study I guess. Just playing with some new brushes.

Darkness

A little something silly I did for fun.

This is a concept sketch for a modeling idea I have. Might be a sculpey project down the road. It is a bit of my own take on a Drider.

Wacom back!

I just got my new tablet. I never want to be without one again, even if the lack of one did push my photography a bit. I did a doodle to celebrate

You stung me bad, what can I do? But leave the stinger in, so I wont forget you

My Wacom is dead but I managed to get a hold of a working scanner. So this was drawn and inked by hand and colored in PS.

Charon gone fishin

So, my buddy Dave is in a band. They are considering a name change. We were yackin about it the other day and he was showing me some ideas he had for visual imagery. My brain started in as well. This is just a mock up of an idea I had.

Mischievous Max

Just a little something for fun. I've been revisiting this great book with the movie on the way. Such great art. Definitely a huge part of childhood. If you want to see some other artists staring into the yellow eyes without blinking, head over to http://www.terribleyelloweyes.com/ There are some really nice pieces over there.

You Cant Milk A Fish

A palm reader once told me that I'd never be crazy rich. That I would have enough to get by on but never filthy rich. I guess that means my art will never make me tons of cash. Sometimes the smile it makes on the face of someone you love is worth more than any pile of gold

Close Up

This is the result of a late night doodle session. Just making sure my number one fan has some new art to look at

My lord, there are so many uncharted settlements. It could be smugglers, it could be...

Just continuing to play with this little style I developed over the weekend. The robot sketch in the dump post a few entries ago was actually the first I did with this "style". I kinda enjoy crudely drawn robots. One of my favorite robots of all time, the Viper Probe Droid.

Very Nice

I did this for my mom for Mother's Day. I printed it out and put it in a nice frame and set it up on a table and waited for her to notice. She liked it. "I like when you make me nice things." which I thought was a bit of a cryptic reply to seeing it. "When you were in grade school you made me a Christmas card....it had a Medusa Santa on the front of it. This is much nicer." I dont remember making a Medusa Santa card for her, but I have to admit that a Medusa Santa sounds pretty bad ass.
