Photo Logo

Flickr has a nice little system that show the traffic on your pics and where it's coming from. I'm starting to get hits from unknown sources so I made a logo for myself to throw on my images to try and protect them a bit from wrongful use.

The "C" is made to mimic a camera aperture, the "ANNY" is a hand made font made on the fly, and the "Photography" is good ol' Arial.

No mouse in the house

This is a logo I did for a design competition held by a company. The shape of the letters originally came from the shape of a mouse (the kind next to your key board) but it ws too complex of an idea so I made it a little cleaner and simple.

Hugo Award Entry

Here is my entry for the Hugo Award Logo Contest. The requirements were to include the rocket (which is the shape of the Hugo Award) and the words "Hugo Award". It was also required to make a "Winner" variant. From what I understand they got some where in the neighborhood of two hundred entries. Their hope is to make an announcement on the logo in early June. We'll see....

I had also made some color variants, but they arent showing up right through Blogger or ImageShack. I'll post them if I can get it to look right.

Continued Experiments

Playing with some things and trying to expand my knowledge of Photoshop. The more I learn I realize how little I know.

In this I was just playing with a few variants. This sort of design seems to be hip with logos these days so I figured I'd give it a shot.

Another of my stupid friends got stupid married. The only good thing about these events is that we take some epic manshots. I took this picture and then did some of the same things I did with the Milwaukee picture a few entries ago. Turned out alright.

This one was an attempt to make fake water. The picture was originally all mountains. Outside of the no visible shore thing, I think this served well for the experiment

The next cool cop/actor drama

Lion Variations & Another goblin

That title dont lie!

And as promised

Enjoy

A few things

Just a doodle of a goblin. Working on other stuff, but nothing really post worthy yet

A color version of the Sommerzeit concept sketch

Lion Dance Team Shirt

This is a design for the Shao Lin Boxing Methods Lion Dance Team t-shirt.

Sommerzeit

A concept drawing for Sommerzeit Beer's logo. This was a quickie for a make shift birthday present for the brewmaster from his wife. The actual logo will have a more old timey feel.

Some New Logos

One of my regular clients needed a new logo so we did some dabbling. Logos are so interesting and fun to do. To capture a company, person, etc in a single, simple image. Logos are the haiku of design. I designed a couple ideas. She went with the Peacock feather option.

Wild Rose Florist

A good friend and her Mum have a great flower shop up in Alberta Canada. I designed their logo for them a while back. I like doing logos. It's a great challenge to sum up a business in one little image. They love it and I love the sox that Mum knit for me as a bonus. :)
